On October 23rd, Amy’s Restaurant opened the doors to the 2nd annual Busting Out in Strathroy. This event was held in order to raise awareness of breast health education, preventative screening and expanding breast cancer diagnosis and treatment programs available at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (SMGH). The proposed expanding program will increase access to cancer care locally and help to reduce the growing wait time for care within the region.

All-day breakfast was available for only $5.00 which attracted hundreds of local individuals. The Las Vegas themed evening event included a cocktail reception, dinner, dance performance, keynote speakers, 'Together, We Play' $10,000 cash draw, and a special Elvis Tribute performed by Tim 'E'.

This fabulous event could not have taken place without the support of our exceptional volunteers & generous sponsors, including Libro Financial Group, Amy's Restaurant, Town & Country Mutual Insurance, Gordon's Food Services, Ausable Produce, Bedell’s Food Service Distributors, Bonduelle, Burnbrae Farms, Canada Bread, Canadian Linen, Larry’s A-1 Vegetables, Nicole's Designer Weddings, Ontario Graphic Solutions, Poultry Specialties and Ricco Food Distributors.

 

The event raised $9,875.00 for expanding breast cancer diagnosis and treatment programs at SMGH. The enhanced services will provide increased access to cancer care locally and help to reduce the growing wait time for breast cancer care within the region.
